Safari Truck Holiday Let Proposed at Kent Animal Park Reserve

A Kent animal park wants to convert a safari truck. This park had over 80,000 overnight guests last year. Port Lympne Hotel and Reserve is near Hythe. They submitted plans to the local council. The plans promise a unique holiday stay.

The safari truck will offer a lounge area. Guests booking the “Explorer” get a private tour. A driver then connects the truck to a trailer. This trailer stays put for the night. It has two bedrooms and a bathroom inside. The truck will sit near Leopard Creek.

There are already cabins and wigwams there. The park’s owner wants to expand lodging. They welcomed 82,000 overnight guests last year. Port Lympne helps the local economy a lot. The “Explorer” is a unique addition.

It will be the first safari truck stay in the UK. This draws more tourists to the reserve and area. The plan respects the countryside. It also improves the existing business. The site will be private. Lots of plants surround it.

A concrete patch will get a small addition. They will add a grass area and barbeque. The trailer has two bedrooms and a bathroom. The area is now used for storage. The stay offers a personal safari tour.

Then guests stay overnight in the estate. The park has become popular with celebrities. Rio Ferdinand and Ashley Walters stayed there. Alison Hammond and Kelly Brook also visited last year.

The park’s overnight stay is popular. It is 81% full overall. It reaches 96% in the high season. The council has received no objections. Planning officers will decide on the application.
