Salisbury votes on a plan covering housing, biodiversity, climate, transportation, and more. This could influence funding.

Volunteers helped create this plan. City councillors and consultants guided it too. Public opinion also shaped the plan. Work began in 2019.
The planners believe it will empower Salisbury residents. They will gain more say in local planning decisions.
Taking care of rivers and fields is part of it. Salisbury Council could get more money. Developers provide this money to local authorities. This money is the Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) funding, which pays for local infrastructure improvements.
Currently, Salisbury gets 15% of the CIL funding from Wiltshire Council. With the SNDP, Salisbury could receive 25%.
Voters must answer a simple question. Should Wiltshire Council use the SNDP for planning decisions? This applies to the Salisbury neighborhood area. Only Salisbury parish residents can vote; Laverstock and Old Sarum residents cannot.
Polling stations are open from 7 AM to 10 PM. Voters get a card showing their polling place. More information is available online.
