Santa Maria Pizza opens its sixth London location in Paddington on February 24, bringing authentic Neapolitan pizzas.
Santa Maria pizzeria is opening a new spot on February 24 in Paddington. This will be their sixth location in London.
Angelo Ambrosio and Pasquale Chionchio created the chain after meeting in Naples during the 1990s. They started with a small pizzeria in Ealing back in 2010, which Time Out named the best pizza in London.
The first restaurant was small, but now the brand has several locations including Fulham, Fitzrovia, and Kew Gardens. They use traditional cooking methods.
The new restaurant will serve Neapolitan pizzas, made the same way as in Naples. The pizzas should taste just like in Naples.
Popular pizzas include Santa Caterina, with tomato sauce, salami, and fresh chili, and Santa Carmela, with ham and mushrooms. Another favorite is San Rocco, which includes veggie ragu and burrata. The Frontline Club is a hub where journalists and photographers gather.
The club has a public restaurant, hosts events and talks, and war photography exhibitions. The clubroom has war reporting items, including some stopped bullets and saved lives.
Santa Maria Paddington opens February 24 at 13 Norfolk Place, W2. They are open Sunday-Thursday 11:30am-10pm, and Friday and Saturday 11:30am-10:30pm.
