A man is upset after a museum declined trousers linked to a 1979 UFO incident in Scotland involving a forestry worker.

Malcolm said it’s Scotland’s biggest UFO case. It happened to Robert Taylor in 1979. Robert was a forestry worker then. Bob Taylor helped liberate Bergen-Belsen during World War II. He later settled in Scotland.
Bob worked for the Forestry Department in 1979. It was part of the Livingston Development Corporation. This is when he saw something strange. Malcolm said Bob walked in Dechmont Woods with his dog that day. Bob entered a forest clearing.
A large dome-shaped craft hovered there. It had a flange around its edge and faded in and out of view. Two objects fell from the craft. Malcolm said they looked like sea mines. The objects rolled toward Bob, grabbed him, and lifted him up.
Bob heard a loud sound like whipping. He smelled burning and then passed out. An image was supplied with this information. Bob woke with a headache and grazes. Everything that he saw was gone. He went home and got medical help. Bob and his boss went to the clearing and found over 40 puncture marks. Police investigated the area.
The police classified it as an assault with an unknown attacker. Malcolm said forensics examined the trousers. The pathologist said they were ripped mechanically upwards. He said no forest debris could cause the rips and that he had never seen anything like it before. Malcolm said Bob was a normal man who would never make up such a story.
Malcolm thinks the trousers are Scottish history, even if it wasn’t really a UFO. An American offered Malcolm £250,000 to keep the trousers in Scotland. Malcolm felt it was a strange story indeed, but still thinks they are iconic and historic. Many UFO sightings occur over Scotland and worldwide.
The Pentagon looked into UFOs last year. The CIA and FBI also examined them. Navy pilots filmed fast-moving objects. Something unusual may be happening.
Malcolm thought the museum would display the trousers, but felt astonished when they refused. The museum has no plans to show them. Malcolm thinks it is a real shame to refuse, since many UFO museums exist elsewhere. Scotland seems uninterested in this stuff.
The museum said they had similar items, but not UFO items. They apologized and changed their stance, then said it wasn’t interesting. Malcolm thinks UFOs are very interesting! Malcolm feels upset and annoyed by this refusal and hopes they will reconsider their decision later.
A museum spokesperson gave a statement. They receive donation offers constantly and cannot accept all of them due to lack of space. They follow a collection strategy to help curators prioritize new items. The strategy covers many areas, like history and art.
