Police seized over 600g of suspected drugs and eight weapons during a crackdown in Saxmundham, leading to four arrests.

The police operation targeted illegal work situations. Four people got arrested during the day. Halesworth police had help from other teams, the Intelligence Development Team and the Halesworth Response Investigation Team.
East Suffolk Council also participated, along with Home Office Immigration Enforcement. Three men got arrested for a serious reason: they were suspected of exploiting people. Now, they are out on bail until May 9.
One man was caught with drugs, a Class B substance, and he also had an illegal weapon at home. This guy got bail too, until April 14. A woman was helped by immigration officers.
Two businesses got penalty notices because they broke rules that day. Council workers from different departments went, and checked businesses carefully, gathering evidence and information. They will investigate and might take action.
