A Selattyn holiday cottage could be split into two homes. The owner cites illness forcing closure.

The cottage used to be a holiday rental, but an illness forced the business to close. They stopped taking reservations because running the place became too hard.
Richard Davies, a planning agent, said they always worked full-time and did holidays. However, the illness made things difficult, and they sadly had to stop.
Davies believes the change is technical and will aid the local area a lot. The development will make the area better, and rural spots will still feel rural. People will also work from home more.
These homes already exist, and the build will not change anything visually. It won’t bother local people. Keeping the buildings helps the farmstead and the town’s heritage, too.
Shropshire Council will decide by April 9.
