Hey, guess what’s happening with the SVR railway? Experts checked the data about the Mor Brook slip. This data included the land’s shape and the soil. It has been two weeks since the incident.

Antony Bartlam works with the SVR. He said the meeting went well. They have a couple of possible fixes. More work needs to happen first. The team will pick the best option after that, then they will know the costs and the time it will take.

Chris Bond leads SVR’s infrastructure. He said they must take their time because this repair is complex. They must talk to outside groups, including Landowners and National Grid, because power lines are near the slip.

A lot needs to happen before starting the work. They want a safe, lasting, cheap repair so they can reopen the line’s north part swiftly.

The landslip closed part of the railway, shutting down the section between Bridgnorth and Hampton Loade. But, trains still run between Kidderminster and Hampton Loade. The railway will be open for half-term on Saturday.

Jonathan Dunster runs the SVR and said twelve miles of the line are open. He’s excited to welcome many visitors during half-term. Getting the whole line working again is vital, and civil engineering is moving forward well.

He is thankful for the public’s support because people are donating money daily. They have already raised over £75,000 and over 1,400 people have donated so far. This money will help fix the landslip.
