New ride closed due to burst pipe causing a leak. Visitors reported seeing brown liquid near the ride.

The theme park is located in Staffordshire. Visitors were upset by the ride’s closure, with one visitor describing it as a “nightmare day,” adding his son felt very disappointed.
Visitors saw “brown liquid” leaking near the ride’s entrance on Saturday. Alton Towers said it was from a burst pipe and denied it was sewage.
Alton Towers stated the incident was unrelated to Toxicator. Operations halted for approximately two hours, a spokesperson confirmed.
They said the unexpected pipe burst was near the ride. Teams quickly addressed the issue, and the ride reopened to welcome guests promptly, along with the surrounding area.
Ben Keable and his son visited the park on Saturday when the ride closed. Keable spoke to the PA news agency about their experience.
They queued for about seventy minutes. They stood near the ride when water flowed, starting as a trickle by their feet, then growing into a puddle.
The park announced a problem with the ride. Staff told them to leave, and no fast pass was offered for a return visit.
Keable stated this was part of their “nightmare day.” Many rides closed all day. They only rode five rides in ten hours with very long queues.
Matthew Lancaster, age 27, from Southport, Merseyside, also visited the park. He saw the pipe burst happen.
Lancaster is a theme park fan who felt unfortunate about the situation. He said it was not something he wanted.
The new ride, called Project Ocean, is 78 feet tall. It is the world’s only elevated top spin.
Alton Towers stated the ride was open on Sunday. The queue time was fifty minutes, and they confirmed it was fully operational.
