This area has many diverse plants and animals. Chalk streams and old woods are found here, along with black poplar trees and the black hairstreak butterfly.
Thomas Broom emphasized the importance of nature, stating it benefits our county by making it healthier and helping to keep our environment clean. We need nature for clean air and water.
Our food comes from productive soil, and nature also helps control flooding. We need space to play outside.
Big changes are coming to the area soon, as the government plans many new buildings. The council will use this nature plan to help protect biodiversity during these developments.
The council wants your opinions on nature. Tell them what you think is important, share ideas on areas to help nature, and describe what nature you want to see.
To share your thoughts, use the online survey, send an email to lnrs@buckinghamshire.gov.uk, or mail a letter. Remember, the deadline is March 24, 2025; be sure to send your feedback by then. The council looks forward to hearing from you.
