Alan Seabrooke resigns from the Sherfield-on-Loddon Parish Council to care for his ill wife.

It reaches over 2,000 parish residents. Other areas receive it too, including Stratfield Saye, Hartley Wespall, and Stratfield Turgis.
His wife’s illness led to his tough decision. He must focus on her care at home. He wants to give her the best life; a debilitating illness affected her.
The councillor finds the workload too much, especially with his personal duties. He will still edit The Loddon Valley Link.
He thanked those who voted for him and hopes to serve again in the future.
The parish council confirmed his resignation. A vacancy now exists on the council, as they said in a letter online. The council will fill the vacancy by co-option, appointing a new council member.
An election is possible to fill this position. Ten electors must request one in writing within 14 days of February 12. They send it to Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council.
The parish council thanked Alan Seabrooke for his contributions since he took office.
