A speed bump outside the Tesco in Sheringham is causing discomfort and damage, sparking local complaints.

The bump’s size damages vehicles, some say. Drivers struggle to cross it straight, and its awkward placement causes issues. Kids are now using it for bike tricks.
Neal Wylde visits that Tesco often. He started a campaign on social media and jokes about scaling the “mountain” bump. He finds the support for action growing.
Wylde notes the angle and bend it’s on, saying cars can’t drive straight over it ever. The bump is too high and steep, he thinks so. He’s used the car park for years, safely.
He says no one speeds there. Wylde is disabled and feels back pain. The bump does not improve safety, and icy weather could make it dangerous.
Kids treat this bump like a ramp. Others online agree it is a hazard. One passenger was “horrified” by it. Someone called it a “suspension wrecker,” and a moped rider even fell.
Tesco stated the bump meets standards, and they say it does follow Highways guidance.
