Hey, listen to this story! It happened near Mowden Shops on February 19th. A black Ford crashed into a house across from the shops.

Angie Park, Lisa Park, and Carole Elstob ran to help. Lisa heard an engine revving at Angie’s fish shop. She saw the car jump the curb before crashing. She yelled for her mom and they called the police.

Angie helped the driver out of the smoking car. He was actually one of her regular customers. She told him to trust her and lean on her. Carole from Cooplands helped too. The driver seemed shocked but okay.

Carole manages the Cooplands shop nearby. She thought the car crashed into her shop at first. They all ran outside to assist the driver. A neighbor gave them blankets to use. Lisa said an off-duty firefighter also helped them.

Then, the police and ambulance arrived quickly. Angie felt relieved that the man was okay. Lisa was glad nobody else got hurt. The crash caused damage to the house and the car.

The police blocked the road while they recovered the cars. An ambulance took one person to the hospital. The fire service made the vehicle safe. Police said the house needed a structural engineer’s assessment. Thankfully, nobody got seriously hurt in the accident.
