Shop York Initiative Enters Final Week Celebrate Local Shops

York BID and Indie York organized something cool. It’s a month celebrating shops in York’s high street. They want people to visit and support local businesses.

Many people have already participated, using offers from ninety shops. Over thirteen thousand visited the Shop York website this month, checking out all the deals you can get.

You get a sticker for every £5 spent at a participating shop. Stick it in your Shop York Passport.

Collect five stickers from different shops, then you can win prizes! Twelve prize bundles are up for grabs. One includes a £500 York Gift Card, and designer sunglasses are also part of the prize.

Rachel Bean works at York BID. She said the response to Shop York is great, with people entering the contest a lot. Participants seem to like it a good deal.

The celebration lasts one month, and the last week is coming up fast. Rachel suggests you get a passport, use the offers, and join the celebration of York’s shops.

Every sticker helps you win and supports local shops. Andy Shrimpton owns Cycle Heaven. He said they have seen a great turnout.

Customers are using their Shop York Passports, unlocking special offers and connecting them to the local community. Andy urges everyone to join before it ends.
