Brave shopkeeper in Malvern, Worcestershire, stops robber with food after he demanded cash for his family.

The shopkeeper, Rakesh Kumar, was very brave. He told the thief there wasn’t any cash; instead, Rakesh offered food to him. Rakesh gave him bread, butter, and milk, worth £8.89.
The thief, surprisingly, grabbed the food. Then, he quickly ran away from the shop. Rakesh said the knife was large, estimating it was about 12 inches.
The thief asked for money to feed his kids. Rakesh offered food instead of cash. Rakesh wanted to help the man’s children. He didn’t want them to be hungry.
Rakesh decided to report the incident later, realizing it was important due to the weapon. Police arrested a 22-year-old man, releasing him on bail.
Police got the report around 4:10 pm. A man with a knife entered the store, demanding money from the till. He left with groceries since there was no money. Rakesh said this is not normal for Malvern, and he is worried about crime now happening.
