Shropshire Council is looking at a housing plan for 21 homes in Nesscliffe, near the old Nesscliffe Hotel. Shrewsbury Homes wants to build there.

Their plan includes 11 three-bedroom houses, and seven more houses will have four or more bedrooms. The land is now farmland and a former car park. The plan includes three affordable homes, which help people who need lower-cost housing. Approval of this plan is needed.

Berrys, the planning agents, made a statement mentioning past approved plans, referred to as Phase 1 and Phase 2. This new plan includes the old hotel parking lot, and the applicant now controls all three land sections.

Berrys says the project benefits the public, boosting the village’s social, environmental, and economic future. New construction jobs will also come from building the homes, and local services should get a boost. The applicant will give £68,000 for Wilcott Avenue’s play area.

The parish council wants more flexibility, potentially using the money elsewhere to upgrade other play areas, depending on council approval. The council should decide by April 17.
