Regal Interiors Stadium in Silsden severely damaged by January floods. Club urgently needs funding for essential repairs.

They said a flood happened during January’s hard frosts. Four changing rooms, the referees’ and umpires’ rooms, the physio room, and the main office all flooded.
The club now lacks heating, toilets, and showers. Electrics in the wing of the building got damaged, and pipes froze and burst in the loft, causing significant damage.
Silsden actually lost a game Saturday, but the club has bigger problems. They had a specialist inspect how this happened. Temperatures were very low that week.
Games got canceled, so hot water didn’t run, though frost protection was in place. The inspector said they were unlucky and that similar incidents happened this year.
Insurance covers water damage, but not the pipes themselves. They need a complete pipe replacement, with estimates saying it will cost £15,000 to £20,000. It’s a lot to fix it all. Silsden said this is bad news indeed. They lack the funds for quick repairs and need to find money to start.
They asked the FA to bend the rules slightly. Now, teams won’t leave rooms as normal; football teams use cricket changing rooms.
Silsden Whitestar shares the ground and must change in Steeton. The club explores all fundraising options, and any ideas or help are welcome. Silsden is run by volunteers and is a non-profit sports club after all.
