Sin City Comics moved to Kingsway Shopping Centre from Friars Walk. The owner credits the Comic Fair for success.

The owner, Shane Jordan, made an announcement: Sin City Comics had to move locations. It moved from Friar’s Walk to Kingsway. Jordan mentioned retail is currently difficult, noting he has worked in retail for 25 years.
Jordan said the last two years felt especially hard, blaming the cost-of-living crisis. People buy essentials because luxuries are too expensive.
Jordan is excited about Kingsway’s future because Niall Leighton-Boyce owns it now. Leighton-Boyce wants local businesses as tenants, which Jordan thinks this helps the city.
The store had a grand opening in Kingsway, which coincided with the Comic Fair. Jordan enjoys the comic fairs’ positive impact, as these fairs happen four to six times yearly.
Sin City joined the Comic Fair back in 2018. Comic businesses had stalls outside Sin City’s new store. Many people have attended the fair for years.
Steve Cook, from Cwmbran, has visited since 1984. His son helped him sell comics that Saturday, and he was very happy about his son’s help.
Andrew and Sharon Waygood sell comics there too. They sell Andrew’s comic collection and have sold retro comics for two years.
Andrew started collecting at seven years old and has around 6,000 to 7,000 comics. Sharon is happy to have a dining room again.
