Sinead Doherty got a prison sentence. A Leeds court gave her 28 months. The sentencing happened yesterday, March 7. Sinead is 34 years old and from Leeds.

She pleaded guilty to violent disorder. This happened on July 18 last year. She is the second person jailed recently for their part in that disorder event.

Police arrested 68 people so far from a big investigation of the event. Nineteen of those people face charges now. Also, 12 young people faced youth justice outcomes.

Police used all kinds of tech tools. This included CCTV and facial recognition tech. The Homicide and Major Enquiry Team leads the investigation into the disorder.

A police leader, Steve Dodds, commented that the investigation is moving fast and they are arresting many people. He noted Doherty admitted to serious offenses on July 18, and they are glad she was convicted in court.

Dodds wants to catch everyone involved and encourages people with info to speak up, stating it’s not too late to help the investigation.
