Police arrested a sixth person. This relates to Joanne Penney’s fatal shooting.

The police responded to a shooting report, which occurred Sunday around 6:10 p.m. at Llys Illtyd, Talbot Green. Ms. Penney, age 40, suffered serious injuries and was found by paramedics and police, but she died at the scene.

A 20-year-old man from St Mellons, Cardiff, has been arrested and remains in custody. Previously, a man from Talbot Green was arrested but released without charges; he was bailed pending inquiries about an assault.

Four more people were arrested Tuesday from the Leicestershire Police area. This includes a 21-year-old woman and a 27-year-old man, both from Oadby. Also arrested were a 68-year-old man from Braunstone Town and a 39-year-old woman from Leicester. Magistrates granted a warrant on Wednesday allowing further detention for these four individuals.

Detectives are making good progress, according to Det. Chief Supt. Ceri Hughes, who stated that this arrest is a significant new development. Experienced detectives and staff are working hard to investigate Joanne’s death and determine what happened during this incident.

Hughes also thanked everyone assisting and asked anyone with information to come forward, including details about Joanne’s death and the property on Sunday. Even a small detail could be vital, she emphasized.

Police say two vehicles traveled from Leicester to South Wales after 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, March 9, leaving soon after the shooting. One car is a beige Nissan Note, license BK61 ZDC, and the other is a black Volvo XC40, license FD24 PZF.
