Human skull found during estate renovations. Police determined the remains were historic, not recent.

The Badentarbat Lodge is on this estate. A millionaire, Ian Wace, a philanthropist owns the property. Police went to the scene immediately to check it out.
Wace bought the land in October last year from a community group called CCDC. He’s building affordable housing there to help the local residents.
Now, imagine finding a skull while working; that’s what these construction guys encountered. Police started investigating the skull, wanting to know exactly what happened. Was there any crime involved, they wondered?
They soon found out it wasn’t recent. A Police Scotland spokesperson confirmed this; the remains actually turned out to be historic. The report came around 8:25 AM on Wednesday, February 12, 2025.
Wace purchased the Badentarbat Estate for £2.75 million, apparently. He aims to give some of it back but is keeping some for himself as well.
The estate is quite big on the peninsula, with nice beaches and beautiful coastlines. That’s the complete story about the skull find.
