Record numbers visited Whaplode and West Pinchbeck churches to admire the snowdrops blossom, raising funds for upkeep.

Snowdrops blossomed at Whaplode St Mary’s Church and St Bartholomew’s Church. It’s in West Pinchbeck. The winter season is ending, so the flowers are out. The churches raised money from the weekend events. They will use the funds for general upkeep.
Volunteers work hard to keep the churches running smoothly. Geoff Hoare helps at Whaplode St Mary’s Church with his wife. He said it was their busiest weekend ever. Donations will help with roof repairs.
Whaplode St Mary’s Church opens again for snowdrop walks soon. You can go February 15, 16, 22, and 23. The walks run between 10 AM and 3 PM. You can get drinks there.
Wendy Houghton is the church warden at St Bartholomew’s. They raised about £450 there. It was a cold, damp weekend, but it was good. Wendy saw familiar faces and new supporters. People enjoyed chatting at the church.
St Bartholomew’s Church plans more events. Their next big event is the Festival of Flowers. It happens April 30 to May 3.
