Smith, age 35, stole almost £4,000 worth of toys. She planned to resell them online quickly, and police found toys packaged for online buyers.
CCTV caught Smith in action. She visited three garden centers and put toys in her bag or a pram, where her child was. She left without paying for anything.
The court gave her a suspended sentence. It totals 26 weeks for the crime.
