Plans submitted for a solar farm on farmland in Cuerdley including solar panels, substation, and underground cable.

Renewable Connections wants this project. They want to use Fowl Farm land in Cuerdley. This area is farmland right now.
The council decides if it’s needed. It’s called a screening opinion and says if an environment check is needed. This check goes with the real plan.
The letter says how the land is used. Farmers grow crops there now. It’s about 32 hectares wide, covering many farm fields doing agriculture.
They will survey the land more, and the final design will use that data. Right now, panels should be three meters high.
These panels spread over fields. A new substation will be in the east part. They propose a ground solar panel farm that will make up to 27 megawatts.
The solar farm lasts forty years, and they will remove everything after that. They will use an underground cable that runs along Mowcroft Lane going east, connecting to existing power lines near Widnes Road. The substation is by the A5080/A562 roundabout.
Existing plants will stay, and they will plant more to hide it. This lowers the visual impact, and they will improve grassland and field edges.
This improvement helps local wildlife a lot. They plan wire fences for deer that will surround the solar panels. They also want CCTV cameras on posts.
