Plans submitted for 100 solar panels and a heat pump near Bury St Edmunds, aiming for green energy and reduced fossil fuel use.

The plan includes a ground-based solar setup. It also has a ground air source heat pump included. They need to build an underground cable path, too. The panels and heat pump share one cable path. It links everything back to the house directly.
The heat pump sits under the panels. This saves ground space considerably. You get to the site from Chevington Road directly. The same driveway to the house will be used.
Horringer House has a Grade II listing. The house isn’t inside Horringer Village. The plan cuts the house’s need for fossil fuels. It also avoids hurting historical landmarks nearby.
Panels let the house produce power and heating. This allows independent and green energy usage. Extra power will go to the local power grid.
The council must decide by April 14.
