Somerset Day Weekend Festivities Planned for May Celebrations

Somerset Day happens on May 10 and 11. Communities are welcome to join the fun. Businesses and groups can also participate. Events start Sunday, May 4, at Taunton Minster, where they will hold a special choral service.

The week highlights Somerset’s culture, heritage, and local food. The Big Somerset Picnic encourages local get-togethers in parks and at landmarks to celebrate Somerset’s beauty. Picnics also raise money for local charities.

The Barrel & Bloom Festival happens May 11 at Rich’s Cider Farm. This new festival will offer music, food, and drinks. Entertainment is planned for the whole family.
