Thirteen groups in South Holland benefit from grants. Recipients include gardens, mills, a leisure center and a pre-school.

Springfields Festival Gardens, Moulton Windmill and Crowland Leisure Centre will all benefit. The Lincolnshire Community Foundation awarded the money through their GRASSroots Grants program. It comes from the UK Shared Prosperity Fund and the Rural England Prosperity Fund.
The Rural England Prosperity Fund helped fund 150 projects in South and East Lincolnshire since July 2023. One council officer, Paul Redgate, is happy to support more local projects through this scheme using UKSPF funds.
The UKSPF began in 2023. It helps areas often overlooked, giving communities a chance to grow. Paul looks forward to future success with LCF GRASSroots grants. These grants have already achieved a lot.
Savings in managing contracts made this round possible, using existing funds efficiently. Springfields Horticultural Society will get £10,000 to improve garden security. New fencing aims to reduce vandalism and protect plants, sculptures, and benches.
Moulton Windmill gets £5,840 for repairs, buying windows, heaters, and a coffee machine. Tonic Health will purchase exercise equipment, including an interactive projector system to promote activity for rural facilities in South Holland. They received almost £25,000 for the system.
Sutton Bridge Parish Council gets £23,373 for park upgrades, fixing the playset and seesaw. Cinder Ash Pre-School receives £22,944 for bathroom work and replacing their septic tank.
Several other projects won funding. Gedney Hill Parish Council gets money to fund park benches and add football goal posts with their £7,882.43 award. Moulton Community Association will replace flooring and install storage with its £3,012.50.
CASL will improve IT through its £8,685 grant money. Whaplode Village Hall will purchase new chairs, spending £2,254 on them. Gedney Hill Memorial Hall will get a projector and screen thanks to their £6,000.
Crowland Leisure Centre will update gym equipment with an £11,849.63 grant. Gosberton Youth Club will install disabled toilets, using their funding of £7,172. Crowland Parish Council will install twenty new bins in the conservation area, getting £8,294 for this work.
The total investment now exceeds £1 million, including extra money from other sources. It benefited many small projects in South Holland.
