Rashid Harif, 24, from Peckham, jailed for breaching a slavery risk order. He possessed cannabis and gave false details.

Police in Peterborough stopped a car last September after it pulled out unexpectedly. Officers smelled cannabis strongly. Police stopped the car and searched it.
Harif was one of four people inside, and officers found fifteen bags of cannabis. All four men were arrested at the scene.
Harif had a mobile phone but did not register it with police, breaking the slavery risk order rules. He also gave police a false address, which also violated the court order.
Harif appeared in court this February, pleading guilty to cannabis possession and admitting to breaking the order twice. The court sentenced him to prison for two years and three months. Harif broke the order six times in 2022.
Police said Harif risks vulnerable people, particularly young women. The court agreed with this assessment, and his sentence reflects that risk.
