A three week blitz aims to improve South Norwood’s High Street, Station Road, and Portland Road, starting February 24.

The cleanup focuses on three streets: High Street, Station Road, and Portland Road. The clean-up happens alongside street work, which is part of a renewal program.
Workers will fix the road surface and lay new pavement. They will also replace benches and bike racks.
Locals helped design the improvements. Residents and businesses formed a group, and their feedback shaped the blitz clean.
They will clean bins, fix damaged sidewalks, and mark road lines with fresh paint. They’ll also remove graffiti and posters. The council will help local businesses.
Report issues using the Love Clean Streets app or the council website. You can report fly-tipping, graffiti, and other environmental issues there.
The mayor said past cleanups were effective. He wants South Norwood to feel proud, as clean streets make spaces safer and welcoming for everyone.
