Half term engineering work causes diversions and bus replacements on South Western Railway routes. Check your journey.

On February 22-23, 2025, the Salisbury to Southampton route will have bus replacements. This is due to engineering work which causes the line closure between Warminster and Southampton. GWR buses will run hourly between Warminster, Salisbury, and Southampton.
SWR buses will replace trains between Salisbury and Southampton. They will also run between Romsey and Southampton.
Also on February 22-23, 2025, the Bournemouth to Poole/Wareham route will experience changes. On Saturday, buses will replace trains from Bournemouth to Poole. On Sunday, buses will replace trains from Bournemouth to Wareham.
From February 22-28, 2025, the Salisbury/Gillingham to Yeovil Junction route is affected. The West of England Line has changes near Gillingham. On Saturday, trains will go via Westbury and take longer.
Buses will run between Gillingham and Yeovil Junction. On Sunday, trains will terminate at Salisbury, and buses will run between Salisbury and Yeovil Junction. Monday to Friday will see diversions and replacement buses.
Network Rail states that this work improves reliability. They are stabilizing embankments and clearing vegetation.
On February 23, 2025, the Guildford to Haslemere line is closed. All lines will shut due to engineering work. Buses will run.
Also on February 23, 2025, New Malden faces changes. Buses will replace trains going to Shepperton. Buses will also replace trains going to Twickenham.
Some train services will change too. Waterloo to Shepperton trains will go to Hampton Court instead. They will stop at Surbiton.
Waterloo to Windsor trains will change their schedule. They will stop at North Sheen and other stations. Trains from Waterloo to Kingston will only go to Hounslow.
