Alice Da Silva’s parents fundraise for a dance stage at her school in Southport, honoring her memory after last year’s tragedy.

Alice and two other girls died last year. Bebe King was six, and Elsie Stancombe was seven. The attack happened at a Taylor Swift dance class. Her parents spoke about Alice on BBC Breakfast. It was their first TV interview.
Alex said Alice loved baby ballet and that she belonged in the academy. She added that Alice was born to perform. Building the stage matters to them as Alice would be happy and proud, she believes.
Sergio will run the London Marathon in April, hoping to raise £250,000. This money will fund the playground at Churchtown Primary in Southport. Sergio is running for everyone affected last year.
The playground would have made Alice happy. Plans include a performance area, climbing frames, and a library. A memorial will honor Alice and Bebe too. It will be carved into a beam, as Bebe also attended the school.
Alan Bowen was Alice’s favorite teacher. He said she would have used the stage a lot. Headteacher Jinnie Payne will run the marathon with Sergio. They will remember Alice and Bebe; the girls will motivate them to finish.
Axel Rudakubana murdered the girls. He is now eighteen years old and last month, he received at least 52 years in prison.
