Plans seek to turn former Spalding Happy Shopper into a House in Multiple Occupation (HMO) with minimal exterior changes.

Sundeep Tamber submitted the plans to change the Happy Shopper on Acacia Avenue. The shop is not being used now. The applicant says little work is needed outside, as this building will become an HMO.
The main floor includes a small utility room to store bikes and bins, as well as a shared lounge. The kitchen is shared, and it has its own dining room. A shower room exists downstairs, along with stairs.
Upstairs, the plans show five bedrooms and one bathroom on the first floor. The property has parking in front and on the side. A nice space also exists behind the building.
The applicant said the change is needed and would create a new home in town. The building was once used for housing. The outside will barely change, and they think the plan fits the area well. They ask the council to approve it.
