Local artists showcase art at The Sessions House. Show runs February 22 and 23, free entry. Expect diverse art mediums.

Past shows saw over 300 people attend over a weekend. The Sessions House, located in Spalding’s Sheep Market, hosts the art on February 22 and 23.
Joey Lowe is an abstract artist who lives in Spalding. Lowe thinks the town needs art spaces to fix this issue, as he feels the town lacks galleries.
Lowe believes galleries are vital and sees a real need for them. He said the council could help by offering empty buildings, where he would host art events.
Lowe says bigger groups do good work and he wants spaces for independent artists. He hopes the show helps them, as he enjoys helping them promote work.
The exhibition opens Saturday at 6 p.m. and closes at 11 p.m. Sunday hours are 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and it will display varied art mediums.
The art show offers many styles of art, from watercolors and abstracts to graffiti, photos, and collages. Sketches and modern art will also appear.
Lowe says past events topped 300 visitors and this year promises to be bigger. It will include more artists, more art, and a more diverse art mix.
Lowe thanks Erika and Andrew, who run The Sessions House. Without them, events could not happen because and their support is valuable.
Erika Yao also spoke about the event and says they aid artists by giving the venue for free. She says art brings the community together and enriches daily life.
The Sessions House can host other events. Yao mentions they can sponsor venues and welcome event ideas and chats; artists and visitors get free entry.
