Isabella Marshall from Aberlour hitchhikes to Budapest, raising money for Alzheimer’s Research UK and other charities.

Isabella is from Aberlour. She works at Speyside Care Home during breaks. She and two friends leave this Saturday. They attend St Andrews University together. They have already raised £840.
This money supports Alzheimer’s Research UK. Other charities will also benefit. Isabella is going to Budapest by hitchhiking.
Isabella says care home work changed her. She saw Alzheimer’s impact on people. She now wants to raise awareness for it. Finding better treatments is important to her too. That’s why she studies biochemistry. It also motivated her to hitchhike.
Louise Gillies manages Speyside Care Home. She says they are very proud of Isabella. Her compassion is obvious, said Gillies. Isabella’s enthusiasm helps at Speyside. Gillies wishes her success on this trip.
This challenge is called Race2. It is an annual event from St Andrews. Students organize this hitchhiking race. Besides Alzheimer’s research, other charities benefit. SolidariTee aids refugees in crisis zones. Richmond’s Hope helps grieving children and families.
