Repairs are coming to A14 bridge joints. The work zone is between Copdock and Claydon. National Highways will do this work, and it starts later this month.

Expect overnight detours during this project. Closures affect the westbound A14 lane from March 17 to March 20. Plan for closures each night from 8 PM to 6 AM.

The detour uses B1113 High Street in Sproughton, and the 7.5-tonne weight limit is lifted. Watch for four-way lights at High Street crossroads. Lower Street and Burstall Lane also use the lights.

Parking gets restricted near the crossroads. Crews will mark the zone using cones. Safety camera vans monitor traffic, placed along the route by National Highways.

A lorry hit a home in Sproughton last November during a prior A14 detour. Paper Mill Lane closes southbound too, near Bramford Road roundabout. The closure stops large vehicles because last year a lorry got stuck on Paper Mill Lane.
