Squire’s Garden Centre is now open in Hare Hatch. It features a café, and soft play to open soon for stress-free shopping.

The staff needs your patience as they are still setting things up right. They are filling the plant section now, and many plants grew right there.
Sarah Squire is the Chairman, and she is happy about the new Hare Hatch store. She wants to know the team better and connect with locals.
They sell many plant kinds here, and lots are homegrown from their own plant places. She looks forward to a busy spring season.
The garden center and café bar are both open, but the soft play area is closed for now. They will reopen it as soon as they can.
You can get breakfast, lunch, or tea at the café, which is located inside the new garden center. Plenty of food is available.
Squire’s started in 1936 and is a family business that is still running well. Three generations helped over time.
Now, they operate seventeen garden stores. Hare Hatch is the second one in Berkshire county; Wokingham is the other Berkshire location.
The company will turn 90 in 2026, and they give the local area good plants and tools. They also sell furniture, grills, and fun gifts.
Squire’s bought Barnsfold Nurseries in 2023. Barnsfold is in West Sussex and supplied bedding plants for a long time, which means more home-grown plants.
Barnsfold Nurseries purchased Liss Forest in 2024, and Liss Forest is a plant place based in Hampshire. Barnsfold Liss was created.
The combined business offers hardy and bedding plant types to garden centers everywhere. Squire’s will give these plants to those in Berkshire now.
