The SSAFA Borders is hosting their charity clay shoot at Bisley; all in support of the Armed Forces.

The event is on Sunday, April 27. It’s at Bisley at Braidwood. Things kick off at 9:45 AM, with the actual shooting starting at 10:30 AM.
John Currie and Jane Dickson are running the event. Both are Borders branch fundraisers. John is a retired major who worked in The King’s Own Scottish Borderers. He said it is a memorable experience.
They will offer clay shooting, lunch, and prizes. The atmosphere is relaxed and well-catered, allowing you to focus on shooting to help raise money for a good cause.
Adrian Lucas, the Borders branch chairman, said it is a regular event. Many teams come from different areas to support the Armed Forces. SSAFA wants to help too.
Lucas thanked John and Jane, praising their hard work. He also thanked the Bisley team. Fundraising is crucial to SSAFA’s work, as they have been helping for 140 years.
They believe no one should face struggles alone, especially those in the Armed Forces.
Teams of four can register for a total cost of £360 (£90 each). This price covers a breakfast roll and lunch, along with a prize draw, cartridges, and access to seven sporting stands. You can also participate in a Pool Shoot and a 60-clay Team Flush.
Currie said you can still help by having businesses sponsor the event or a stand. You can also donate a prize. The draw is after the shoot on April 27.
