Suffolk’s St Nicholas Hospice joins Local Hospice Lottery to raise £1M in five years, boosting funds for patient care.

This should help them raise the money. Also, the prizes should be bigger now. The hospice needs £8 million a year, which is £22,000 each day.
They only get some government money, covering about 20% of their costs. They still need to raise £17,500 a day. The hospice gets more money per lottery ticket this way. Local people can help a lot by joining the lottery and supporting the community.
The hospice stopped their old lottery. The new lottery shares costs, putting more money toward hospice care. Supporters might win bigger prizes too.
For every £1 ticket, the lottery gives 60-80% to the hospice. It costs £5 a month to play, and there are 201 weekly cash prizes. The top prize is £2,000. There’s also a prize that rolls over, potentially reaching £25,000. Plus, there are three super draws each year, each with a £10,000 prize.
