Innerleithen seeks nominations for the 2025 St Ronan’s Standard Bearer. Role involves representing the town and assisting games.

Dawn hopes people will nominate worthy candidates. The selection committees need your help. You can email nominations to secretary@stronansgames.org.uk, or use the box in The Allotment/Innerleithen Post Office on Peebles Road. Nominations close on February 28.
They will announce the leaders on May 9 at the Memorial Hall. This introduction night is on a Friday.
The Standard Bearer carries the Blue Banner, which represents St Ronan. They have an important role during Games Week. The Standard Bearer represents Innerleithen and visits other towns’ festivals during the summer.
The Standard Bearer should help the Games Committee, extending beyond their term. The Principal Guest gives a speech during the Cleikum Ceremonies on July 18. They also give medals to St Ronan and the Dux Girl.
The Principal Guest is important all Games Week. Often, they have ties to the town stemming from activities or interests, showing commitment to the community.
The Principal Guest might have fewer current ties, but they still have an interest in Innerleithen and care about St Ronan’s Games. The festival welcomes them.
