Hey, guess what’s happening in Stockton? There’s a big festival celebrating the railway’s 200th birthday. It is called the S&DR200 Festival. The event features a re-enactment on September 26, 27, and 28.

The festival lasts nine months and includes things like outdoor events, exhibits, and new art. You can find these at museums like Preston Park Museum.

Stockton has other cool events, too. SIRF has street performances and music, running from August 1 to August 3 with over a hundred shows!

They’re marking 80 years since VE Day this May 8. A beacon will shine in Parish Gardens, and other events will honor those who helped achieve peace.

Plus, the Environment Fair is June 14 on Stockton High Street, where you can learn how to live greener. Armed Forces Day is on June 21, also on High Street.

The Festival of Thrift returns September 20 and 21 at Billingham Town Centre and John Whitehead Park. Also, Stockton Sparkles will return November 27 for a festive event on High Street that lasts two weekends.
