Lisa Evans praised these amazing individuals. She said they support young people and truly make a difference in their lives. Winners and nominees all received congratulations.
The event took place at Wynyard Hall. They gave awards in different categories, some marking long service and others celebrating special milestones.
Milestone awards honored years of service; carers reached one, five, ten, or fifteen years. Long service awards recognized twenty-plus years.
Lindsay Taylor won Host of the Year. People recognized her caring environment and how she helps the young people she supports.
Lindsay has been a host for fourteen years. She finds it rewarding to see them succeed and helps them enter adulthood, showing a little support builds confidence.
Angela Cadwallader received a special award. She became a host last year, having been a foster carer before, and now supports a young person.
