Stratford’s Templar Restaurant Ready for Grand Opening This Week
You can find it in the East Bank area. V&A East and BBC Music Studios are nearby. Sadler’s Wells East is also close. The people behind Darkhorse run this spot. Darkhorse is an Italian restaurant. It’s also in Stratford.
Lee Glen is a co-founder. He said they are proud of Templar’s menu. The restaurant will have a bar. Look for Italian spirits there. Their dining room has a mid-century style. Blue details and leather seats add style.
There’s a special wine cave too. Richard Sinclair will be the head chef. He previously worked at Terra and Lardo. He also worked at Pied à Terre.
The menu features pig’s head croquettes and sea bass. You can also find truffle ravioli on the menu. Chargrilled monkfish tail is another choice.
Ian Goodman said the name Templar comes from history. Knights Templar once owned the land. They built mills by the River Lea. Temple Mills Lane is named after them. Goodman is another founder. He is happy to be part of the new development. The area is becoming a cultural center.
