Authorities in Stroud seized illegal tobacco and vapes near a shop, valued at nearly £5,000, suspecting its direct involvement.

Parents worried about the shop selling vapes to kids. These kids were under 18. So, trading standards went to check it out in January 2025. Later, they bought illegal cigarettes.
This confirmed the shop sold illegal tobacco too. Another look at the shop found nothing shady. But, they suspected cars nearby held illegal goods. It happened on February 7, 2025.
The officers found a likely car and watched it. A man opened it and got inside quickly. They approached him and showed their badges. Inside, they found illegal smokes and vapes. They seized the items and a phone.
Separately, police found cannabis in a nearby car. They seized these drugs, it’s true. They made no arrests at the time it happened. The trading standards investigation is ongoing now. They are still working on this case and the specifics.
