Stroud Wassail returned Saturday. People gathered at The Museum in the Park. The event featured music and dance.

It was very popular before. The last one was in 2020. The pandemic stopped it for a while.

Miserden Morris started the dancing. Styx of Stroud played music next. Merrie Morgana also performed.

Robin Burton opened the event. Then Johnny Coppin sang songs. He played even when it rained.

Fresh Standard Brew Company provided beer. They had a stall at the event. People put the beer “on trial.” The beer was found not guilty.

Richard Taylor served beer to visitors. The Cryptids played in the courtyard. Then came The New Gloucester Play. It is a modern mummer’s play.

This ended the afternoon’s events. Abigail Large spoke about the day. She works at The Museum in the Park.

She said it’s great to host events like this. It brings good health and cheer. The last one was in January 2020. There has been a long gap since then.
