New data reveals shocking speeding incidents in Suffolk, highlighting dangerous driving, especially in Lakenheath and Eriswell.

The RAC got the data using a special request. One person drove 83 mph in a 30 mph zone! Another went 45 mph in a 20 mph zone! That’s super dangerous.
In Lakenheath, a lot of cars sped on Station Road. Over 600 cars went over 50 mph last November. Someone even went over 80 mph there! Gerald Kelly is a local council member.
He thinks speeding happens more at night. Parking problems might make it worse, he thinks. Sixty-nine cars sped in Eriswell Road, a local newspaper says. They went over 50 mph there.
It’s pretty scary! A police inspector named Gary Miller wants drivers to be careful. Speeding causes terrible crashes, he said recently. Drive safely and think about others.
Rod Dennis from the RAC spoke about the data too. Some people drive at wildly high speeds, he said. It puts everyone else in danger. He hopes drivers will be safer.
