A man has been charged after a large cannabis farm with 700+ plants was found in Warrington last year.

The police raided the building on Barbauld Street around 9am on Tuesday, March 19, last year. Officers seized items inside, finding over 700 cannabis plants and growing equipment.
A police helicopter helped the search, circling the town center while looking for a man who ran. No one was arrested at first regarding the drug production.
However, nine people got arrested later when they tried to enter the building. Cheshire Police issued a warning, telling people to stay away. Police will take all drugs and equipment, so people will not get supplies later.
Now, police have charged a suspect with growing drugs there, 11 months after the raid. Huba Amarildo, twenty years old and from Barbauld Street, is charged with producing cannabis, a class B drug.
Amarildo allegedly produced 729 cannabis plants on March 19, 2024, in Warrington. Amarildo will go to court and appear before Chester Magistrates’ Court today, Wednesday.
