Sway villagers are heartbroken after the death of Isaac Curtis, their popular and much-loved postman, aged only 38.

People called Isaac a “lovely man.” They said he always smiled. He was a credit to Royal Mail. Residents are heartbroken by the news. He helped many people in his work.
Villagers will miss his cheerful chats. He also made a fuss over dogs. People send thoughts to his family. Villagers said Isaac always smiled. They also called him “wonderful”.
He was a real asset to Royal Mail. Isaac always smiled and waved showing he was always cheerful. A book is open for tributes in Sway. They also started a fund for his funeral. People have already raised over £5,500.
Isaac’s family shared memories of him. He was born in 1987 in Burton-upon-Trent, a small town in Staffordshire. He lived there with his parents and brothers, Bob, Karen, Simeon and Liam. In his late teens, they moved to Spain.
He met his future wife, Corinne, there. They moved to Lymington later and got married in 2010. Ivy and Elsie are their daughters. Sadly, Simeon died in 2017. Recently, Isaac’s mother, Karen, passed away. The family faced terrible losses.
Isaac loved running very much. In recent years, he ran many races. These races include the New Forest marathon, half-marathons and 10ks. He ran with Lymington Pub Runners too where Each Wednesday, they ran then drank cider.
Isaac was the Sway postman. He worked as a carer before that. He had a very caring personality. His caring nature helped him in both jobs. Lots of people loved Isaac very much. He spoke with many folks in town stopping to chat with everyone he met.
The loss of Isaac is very tragic. His family and community will miss him. The funeral date will be shared later to let people say goodbye. Donations to his family would be appreciated.
Isaac worked at Linden House before, a care facility in Lymington. Former coworkers remembered his caring nature. One former coworker said Isaac was kind, lovely, and helpful. He was a fantastic carer with a great sense of humor. Helping was never too much for him and this news is truly heartbreaking.
One dog owner spoke about Isaac, whose labrador adored him a lot. The dog loved to play “Where’s Isaac?”. He was very friendly and warm always giving his best to others. His smile brought joy to people around him.
Staff at New Forest Hamper Company are devastated. He was always helpful to their team. He loved good jokes and chocolate. They will really miss seeing him as he would visit when doing his rounds. They send their support to Isaac’s family now.
