Swindon’s Bus Company donated to Walcot Brownies to start a new program for older girls, offering needed support.

The Brownies group is for girls aged seven to ten. They enjoy fun activities and learning. It offers them exciting adventures.
Heather Drewett spoke for Walcot Brownies. She said older girls want to stay and keep attending the group. So, they are creating a program for them.
She mentioned they asked the bus company for support and used the community fund. The Brownies were very happy to get money. Volunteers run the Brownies group, and the extra money will buy supplies like books, badges, and uniforms. Heather expressed great thanks for this help.
Andrew Sherrington manages Swindon’s Bus Company. He stated it is a worthy cause to support and mentioned a valuable local resource exists. The bus company wants strong local ties, and helping the Brownies and Guides feels good because they learn new skills there, he noted.
Swindon’s Bus Company accepts applications twice a year. The community fund opens in both December and June.
