A developer wanted to convert Trinity Hall into flats. It is at Victoria Road and Clarence Street. The council said no to the 13 flats plan, citing problems with cycle parking and bin storage. Vehicle servicing was also a concern for them.

Kingsbridge Point already has flats being made, but adding another floor there is on hold. KBP Development wanted 13 more flats at the building at Regent Circus’s north end. The new flats would have one or two bedrooms.

The council rejected the plan, stating that the building is now for residential use only. However, the developer can still make a full application.

Absolute Motor Care wanted an MOT block near Bush House by Marlborough Road, next to the car showroom. Safety was the main reason it was denied. Access from the main road wasn’t safe enough, and they also noted inadequate parking.

John Dagnell wanted to convert a Ferndale Road workshop into a one-bed house with parking, but the planners turned down this request. They said it was an unpleasant place to live, with no garden and few windows.

Some people want extensions or conversions at Moresby Close, Glenwood Close, Browning Close, and Cloche Way. Other locations are Swindon Road and Goddard Avenue. Some extension applications were approved, including addresses on Upham Road and Oxford Road.

Drove Road and Bampton Grove also had approvals, as well as Clifton Street, Canterbury Close and Cumberland Road. One other approval was at Malvern Road.
