A woman received a driving ban and community order following a drunk driving collision on the M4 near Swindon.

Police followed marks and debris from the motorway. Officers located Bradshaw around 10:30 a.m. She was in a layby, revving the engine and moving the car back and forth. Bradshaw is 40 years old.
Her car had lots of damage. At first, Bradshaw denied driving during impact. She later admitted she was driving. Sergeant Will Ayres gave her a breath test, which showed three times the legal alcohol limit. Police arrested her for suspected drunk driving.
Bradshaw admitted guilt in court on February 17 at Swindon Magistrates Court. The charges were drunk driving and no insurance. She got a 20-month driving ban, had to pay £299, and also received a 12-month community order.
Sergeant Ayres commented on the incident later, stating people still risk driving drunk and noting these actions endanger everyone. Bradshaw totaled her car’s front end too. Ayres conveyed the crash could have been worse.
Ayres explained drunk driving is a key fatal offense. These actions increase the risk of serious crashes, which can result in fatalities. He wants drivers to be more careful.
