Abbey Stadium deteriorates amidst new construction. Fears rise over potential housing replacing the iconic venue.

The stadium entry looks like a messy build site now. There’s mud, puddles, and metal fencing. Rocky rubble and tires scatter near cones and bins; it looks quite rough.
The greyhound track still looks okay, even though speedway hasn’t been there since 2019. The stands, though, seem aged and worn and aren’t in the best condition.
A big grey building stands near the road, accompanied by semi-circular shapes. Sadly, accessing them seems impossible right now because there is no way in.
You can see new houses from the stadium entrance. They build these homes along Llewelyn Road, and the car park is very close by, showing everything is developing rapidly.
Gaming International said changes would fund new facilities. However, fans worry they will build housing instead, and the stadium might disappear completely. That’s the fear.
